Let’s talk a minute about Shakeology.  And specifically about whether or not Shakeology is too expensive, or whether or not you can afford it.

But please don’t misunderstand, I’m going to spend very little time trying to convince you why you should buy Shakeology. Instead, I’m going to spend more time on why I buy Shakeology, and why I have been doing so for the last two years.

If you were to simply google “Shakeology Expensive”, you’ll get 818,000 responses. That’s as of right now…. today. I’m sure that number will continue to grow. If you took the time to read some of these articles, you would find that most of those people are actually buying Shakeology, drinking Shakeology daily, and recommending Shakeology to you. That’s a lot of people recommending the product!

Here’s my take on Shakeology. I’m a super busy guy, and I have very little time or patience for putting together a meal. This is one less meal per day that I have to cook or prepare. I drink the chocolate flavor (love it), and I drink it on a daily basis, usually with natural peanut butter. Tastes like, YEP, you guessed it … chocolate and peanut butter.

Another big reason, I hate to prepare veggies. I don’t mind veggies so much, but I do hate cooking them and preparing them.  It’such a hassle. So naturally, the idea of getting a full days supply of veggies in a Reese’s Peanut Butter tasting shake simply APPEALS to me. So now I get the benefit of getting all the nutritional benefits of veggies, and a lot more, in one shake. So you’ll have to forgive me if I don’t chop up a head of broccoli, and steam it, or whatever at supper time. I bet you can probably examine your daily meal plan, and realize that you are missing out on the recommended amounts of veggies.  Nutrition is fuel.  Nutrition keeps you healthy and fit.  Nutrition fights off sickness and disease.  You can’t put a price tag on that!

One of the biggest reasons of all….I love LOVE love my family. My kids are the best. I want to do anything and everything to live as long as possible, to watch them grow, to see what they become, and maybe some day (GOD willing) have grandchildren. My single most motivating factor in my health and fitness are my kids. I exercise to be fit and healthy, I don’t want to be a “sideline” dad. I can play on the playground as long as they can. The second equation to health and fitness is nutrition. Shakeology is not the one and only thing, but it does start there. I watch my calories, I watch my sugar, my carbs, my protein, everything is factored in. Shakeology has shown to reduce cholesterol, improve energy, improve digestion, is low on the glycemic index, helps to lower cardiovascular risk, AND is packed with antioxidants, 23 vitamins and minerals, protein, digestive enzymes, essential amino acids, and helps me control my weight. Bottom line: This seems like a great way to maintain nutritional health.  I’ll take my bag of Shakeology every month, it’s not a gamble for me.

Now, I’ll admit…. In the beginning, I too struggled with the price. But as a Beachbody coach, I felt that it was important for me to try this product, to be fair to my customers. I will never recommend a product that I do not personally use myself.  Just will not do it.  So I started on Shakeology. I personally decided that I didn’t like Greenberry as much as Chocolate. But yet, I have had many customers say they like Greenberry. So I started drinking Shakeology on a regular basis, and after several months, I canceled my Home Direct order. Not to mention, all of those things are crap. They do NOTHING for your health, and have no nutritional value whatsoever. So why do we hesitate on the $4 for Shakeology that is jam packed with nutritional value. We have to change our way of thinking. Sure you don’t notice the $5 here, and the few bucks there, but its adding up. I think when we look at the month supply, 30 MEALS, and see a price tag of $119, we second guess ourselves. But its a month supply! Take it off your grocery money, after all, its 30 less meals you have to buy. Maybe you don’t think you spend $119 on junk food per month, maybe you don’t. But chalk the rest up for being healthy. Because I guarantee, you’ll feel better, go to the doctor less, and live longer. That is worth the price in my book, and in the long run, you SAVE big time!

Second, I decided that I could cut out some of the other miscellaneous crappy supplements out of my cupboard. So that statement right there tells you something. Shakeology is on my “Must Have” list. And as such, I cut out the supplements that were on my “Would Like to Have” list. My Must Have List: Activit Multi-Vitamins, Shakeology, Protein, Creatine, P90X Recovery Formula, and a Pre-Workout Formula (like Jack3d). Everything else is secondary and only if my budget allows.

What could you cut from your daily or monthly budget that would off set your expense? First of all, if you’re thinking about Shakeology, then nutrition, or the “idea” of improving your nutrition must be on your mind. So you can cut things like fast food. You don’t need that type of food anyway. Cut out pop, diet drinks, and wasted empty calories those things bring. Cut our junk food from your grocery list. No ice cream, cake, cookies, chips, JUNK. Cut out some of your frivolous spending. You know you have some wasted dollars floating around that you can cut back on. But please don’t misunderstand me. I’m not telling you how to spend your money, or budget your money. I’m simply asking you, How important is your health? When you’re feeling great, no worries right? But what about when you get sick, or you hear about a friend getting sick, or life altering disease. That’s when you vow to make changes. Let’s be proactive here. Bottom line: Don’t let the expense stop you, when you know that there are things you can do to make your health a priority, and it should be. Most of you have been to a grocery store lately too. Prices are expensive there too.

You can be a fitness professional, in the best shape of your life, or working your way to the best shape of your life….as long as you are committed and dedicated to staying accountable, you can help others become accountable in their goals too!

3.What do I “do” everyday as a coach?

Depending on where you want to take your business or the direction of your goals, this answer can be different for everyone. But primarily the common answer is to – Share your Story! As a coach, you have the ability to sell any Beachbody item from their nutrition products all the way to their workout programs. Just start telling your story and letting people know of your new business venture. The word will spread! You may also spend your time getting in touch with your network and circle around you. You will have the greatest gains in your business if you build your down line team of coaches.

4.What are the fees to join?

Beachbody really wants to make this as affordable as possible, so that we can make a HUGE difference in our direction to change one person at a time in becoming more fit and healthy!

Initial Join in Cost: $39.95 This includes your Business Kit which will be shipped to you (s/h extra)
and your FIRST month’s fee of your personal Coaching Webpage.

Monthly Webpage Fee: $14.95 Your webpage will serve for multiple purposes. Beachbody automatically updates and maintains your webpage! They build it for you! All you need to do is personalize it with your photo and bio! Your page will be used for:

• Your customers to make purchases from your virtual store!
• Those interested in getting into the CLUB MEMBERSHIP so they can receive 10% discount on any item they buy
• Signing up your coaches!
• COACHING BACKOFFICE- this is your business center for your coaching business. You will securely access this to build, maintain, and watch your business grow from your down line coaches to your weekly pay checks.

OPTIONAL FEE:
Club Membership: $38.87(4 times a year total- billed quarterly)

• As a club member, you will have access to additional fitness and nutritional programs available to you on your webpage. BUT the #1 reason to be a part of this is Beachbody’s LEAD GENERATION PROGRAM!
• As an active Emerald coach, you will be GIVEN FREE CUSTOMERS from Beachbody! Beachbody spends over 100 million dollars each year in advertising. When those customers contact Beachbody to purchase something or to get more involved, Beachbody assigns those contacts to ACTIVE EMERALD (or higher) coaches! You get free customers, and free commissions!

5. Beachbody actually GIVES me customers?

YES! Just reach the basic level of EMERALD and maintain and active status, and you will receive customers in your database possibly everyday! Beachbody receives about 20-30,000 customer leads a week! Those come in and get assigned to the next active emerald coach (or higher) in line. You will earn commissions from these customers REPEAT business! You will also earn BONUS Commissions off of their CLUB MEMBERSHIP dues! (billed and paid quarterly) Just for being ACTIVE!

6. How do I earn income as a Beachbody coach?

There are several very detailed ways of earning income and the many ways to really make a significant income. But in general, here are the basics:

Any sales to customers of products from your website or directly from yourself- 25% commission.
Customers who join the CLUB MEMBERSHIP- you earn 50% of their quarterly membership dues.
Personally sponsored coaches who are in the CLUB MEMBERSHIP earn you 50% commission.

ADDTIONALLY- Your Downline TEAM CYCLE BONUSES can pay out when you bank a certain amount of points.

Customers in the Club Membership- you receive 15% commission on any of their purchases.

As a Beachbody Coach, you get a 25% discount on any item you personally want to purchase as well!

7. Do I have to stock inventory?

No, you do not. This is a virtual business operated via a webstore that is provided to you by Beachbody. However, you can purchase items in greater amounts and sell them at your leisure or as drop shipments.

8. Can I be a Coach if I’m not in the US?

At this time, only USA, USA Territories and Military locations can sign up as a coach. Beachbody is currently in the process of registering with Canadian authorities. We hope this process will be complete by the end of 2009. We believe Canada will be the first international location, but Beachbody has plans to extend the opportunity to numerous other countries.

9. How can I fit this in my daily life? I’m already way too busy!

If you are involved in fitness already, this will be MUCH easier for you! This will be natural and follow what you normally do already! Opportunity always presents itself, now you’ll just have a way of earning commissions on the programs you’ve already been suggesting. The extent to which you develop your “downline” is up to each individual. You can be very aggressive to create a long downline of coaches and retail sales. As someone involved in fitness, you’ll find yourself having the same conversations you would naturally when people ask you the many questions they often do about “getting fit” and losing weight.

10. Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel in your first 30 days, and be completely refunded the first months fees. Thereafter, you can cancel at anytime and only be out, the amount of time you were in the business. However, if you decide you want to rejoin, you will lose your seniority position and level you were once in the company as well as have to wait a 6 month period from cancellation before you can re-join.

The WOWY SuperGym is one of my favorite DAILY activities at Team Beachbody.  Yet, it is one of the activities that my customers don’t always do.  I think with a little guidance, and encouragement, I can  change this trend.    I want to start by providing this easy to follow tutorial to get you started.  Download the tutorial here.  I want to share a few of the reasons I use the WOWY SuperGym, and maybe you will find them worthwhile too!

First, it’s free to play.  When you signed up at Team Beachbody, or purchased your product, you should have received a login/pass.  If you’re not sure or don’t remember, go to www.teambeachbody.com, and at the top right, click Sign in.  Then on the following page, click on the Forgot Password link.  If you have not yet signed up for your free account.  Go to:  www.beachbodycoach.com/rtharden, which is my coach page, and click JOIN.  At some point, it will say that RTHARDEN is your coach, that’s me!

Okay, so you have your free account, and you have downloaded the WOWY Tutorial, and now you can start using WOWY.  My motivations are pretty simple.

One, if you upload a picture of yourself, any favorite picture will do, then you are eligible to win cash and prizes.  I know this is true because I received a check from Beachbody for $300 just for playing WOWY.

Two, Wowy tracks your progress with a calendar.  I like this because I can look at the calendar and make sure I’m on track.  Now this is easy for me, because I’m a fitness fanatic, but for those of you that are just starting out, I always ENCOURAGE people to set a goal for 5 workouts a week.  You can use a printed calendar or WOWY to accomplish this task, just look at your calendar and make sure you’re on track.  You can see the colored days on my calendar, which shows my workout days.

Last of all, you can work out with friends and buddies.  When you login to WOWY, look for me, if I’m your coach, I should already be a “buddy” in your list, if I’m not, do a search for RTHARDEN, and add me!  Then you can say Hi during your workouts.
